Very interesting - definitely something straight out of science fiction. Is any of this actually approaching MUSIC, though? All the videos I saw were just a collection of disjointed sounds. I would love to hear what this could do, music-wise... Only seems a neat way to explore sounds for now.
Also, it's worth mentioning that if this is actually a musical instrument, this is probably the first new instrument (certainly that I know of) that is totally new in the last several hundred years. Everything else has been a derivative of one that was in use before (electric guitar, keyboard, etc.).
